On a trip to the Ivory Coast, Will discovered about 50 panels of African Kente cloth, ranging in age from 50-75 years old. Traditionally known as “the cloth of kings,” the wide-ranging colorations of the naturally dyed and hand-woven fabric indicated royalty and rank when worn as ceremonial garments. Each bag is inherently one-of-a-kind – resulting in unique pieces of art that honor the origins of weaving and the beauty of African arts.
